Crutch Covers and Pads FREE Sewing Tutorial
Being on crutches is fun for your friends because they like to play with them. It is not always so fun for you because the crutches rub under your arms and can cause blisters on your hands. You can easily fix this by making padded crutch covers.
What you'll need:
- Crutches
- Padding cut to the size of your crutch tops – Some use layers of batting, scrap fleece, old towels or wash clothes. You can find a wide variety of options for crutch pads here.
- Tape measure
- Fabric
- Scissors
- Pins
- Sewing needle
- Ribbon or cording
- Fray check (optional but highly recommended!)
- Coordinating thread
- Sewing machine
