Not all skeletons have to be scary, and this boney guy manages to be cute, even without his outsides! This project comes together with a few basic materials and could be made in a variety of colors and textures.

It’s perfect for Halloween but would also make great décor for a pirate fan. The most difficult part is sewing around some curves, so this is appropriate for something who’s still a new sewist but is ready to stretch those muscles a bit. This is also a good introduction to an easy method for appliqué.

To make this you’ll need:

• pattern
• cream cotton fabric
• black cotton fabric
• Craft Fuse (heavyweight fusible interfacing)
• medium weight fusible interfacing
• cotton batting
• black embroidery thread
