FREE Sewing Tutorial: Easy Garment Bag

Laminates turn this serviceable garment bag into a water-resistant beauty. With easy lines and simple construction, this bag goes together in a snap. No topstitching or edge stitching on this pattern means fewer places for moisture to penetrate the laminate. A quick elastic loop at the bottom allows you to hang and carry the bag folded.
Required Materials:
- laminated cotton
- 30″ zipper
- 5″ of 1/4″ elastic
- quilting cotton (1″ x 10″)
- thread
- embellishments as desired

I was not aware of laminated cotton. Does it breathe like regular cotton? I also found oil cloth and waxed canvas. Oil cloth is nylon so doesn’t breathe. I am not sure about waxed canvas – do you know about this fabric?
