Adding the binding is the very last step of making a quilt, and it really pulls the whole thing together. You can have a lot of fun here with a bright pop of color, a patterned fabric like gingham or floral, or a scrappy binding pieced from a bunch of different fabrics. This tutorial walks through how to calculate how much binding fabric you will need, how to cut the strips, how to sew the binding onto the quilt, how to get neat corners, and how to hand stitch the binding down for a clean finish.
