100+ Owl Sewing Patterns That Are A Hoot To Make!

Do you like owls as much as I do?

My husband and son recently came back from the countryside here in Chile.  They had been walking around a rural farm property when they saw a huge, Great Horned Owl that flew right past them and into one of the trees.  They couldn't stop talking about it when they got back to the city.  These are very big animals and super impressive when you see them up close.

A few years ago, I was in a forest in eastern Europe where I saw a similarly large owl up close and I remember the experience vividly to this day.  Unfortunately, I can't find the video I made of it because I would have like to share it with you all.

Owls are often associated with wisdom.  “As wise as an owl” it's often said.  If you see one or hear their mournful cry some night, you'll understand this association, I think.

Well, all this talk of owls made me think about things I could sew to represent these great animals.  I put together a long list of owl sewing patterns that I think will be a hoot for you to make.

As I usually do, I wanted to share this list with you!

A great selection of owls – I too am a fan. There are a couple of owl patterns that I really like that aren’t mentioned here. Ann Wood has a little fabric owl pattern and a magnificient ‘Dastardly Owl’ pattern. Also Marmalade Rose has an owl kit which is cute. Thanks for the information and great ideas and tutorials.
