Pet Bed Sewing Free Pattern and Easy Tutorial
In this article, I will tell about diy washable pet bed tutorial. You can make a bed to your pets easily with the help of this tutorial telling step by step. Moreover, this bed is washable in washing machine at 30-40 Centigrade degree (This is a plus). Also, so comfortable and easy to sew this pet bed. Let’s start to tell how to make. The pattern is below, and I will mention how to sew pet bed in steps.
I made the bed for a cat, but you can use this pattern also for dogs. You can enlarge the measurements according to your large dog.
Materials;
I have known that cats had loved fleece and I went to buy fleece. When I said that I will make cat bed, woofer told cats like furry fabric more. The hairy fabric I bought is also being used when making a collar or something. I bought 1 meter from both. Two sides of this bed is usable.
Diy Washable Pet Bed Steps
1. I prepared the pattern on newspaper as I pointed above. Then, I drew the pattern on the back of the fabric and cut it off the seam allowance. I had two pieces of fabric measuring 82cmx82cm.
2. I turned the fabric faces to one another, pinned the fabrics together, placed ribbons at the corners(aim is to tie the corners). Later, I sewn from the line. Don’t sew the part I marked with red on the pattern because of filling the bed with fiber from this part.
3. I turned the fabrics’s face. I drew the middle square, pinned the fabrics together and sewn it except the green part pointed in the pattern.
4. Time to fill with fiber;
Firstly, I filled the fiber to bed from the green part I marked at pattern. After, I sewn this part with hand. Lastly, filled the corners and sewn the unsewn areas.
That’s it. So usefull cat bed. Don’t forget this can be done also for dogs. I tried to tell my best. However, If I couldnot tell in detail enough, please do not hesitate to ask. I will be glad to answer.

Actually I dont know the fabric’s name. I saw and I bought it. But you can make it with fleece fabric. Cats also love it.
