This dress is made having a tee pattern as a starting point, using it that for the bodice portion of the dress, then a simple pleated skirt has been added. Super simple and genius!

The easy tee dress pattern is made out of knit fabric, so it’s nice and stretchy, which means there was no need for zipper or buttons to install, and the cap sleeves are just part of the bodice piece, so you won’t have to set in sleeves.

You could use any t-shirt pattern to make a simple dress like this one. The silhouette feels a little retro, but the color blocking keeps it modern.
