DIY “Bonenut” Sprinkle Cake Birthday Bone Dog Toys
This project is an inspiration that you can take and use to create your own unique designs. One of the great things about making your own dog toys is that it is a fun opportunity to get a little creative. The shape, size, colours and embellishments can all be adapted to suit your skills, pet, materials, and style preference. These birthday bones were designed like little cakes or cupcakes, topped with icing and rainbow sprinkles. The cake-style bones could easily be restyled for other special occasions, using holiday colours for the spinkles and/or decorations is an easy way to make things look festive.
What you'll need:
- Sturdy brown fabric or other cake colour of your preference
- Fleece for the icing
- Scraps of fleece for sprinkles (optional)
- Stuffing for filling for the stuffed toy
- Squeakers (optional)
- Complimentary coloured thread
- Sewing machine and general cutting / sewing supplies
