The best thing I’ve found for hemming light-weight fabrics (sheers, etc) is Dritz Wonder Tape, It’s 1/4″ wide, & water-soluble, so it disappears w/ a little soak or first wash. It’s pressure-sensitive, so it’s easy to apply w/o the need for a hot iron. It’s been invaluable when making sheer monogrammed scarves for gifts.
