Mini Barn Star FREE Quilt Tutorial

Do you love the idea of a wooden barn quilt, but don’t have the time or space for one? This mini quilt is a perfect substitute! This one is finished just under 12” square, so you can display it almost anywhere. It’s made using half square triangles, which are made a bit larger than needed and trimmed for nice, neat edges. You can use a variety of colors to represent the paint, and with the many wood print fabrics available now, the background can reflect your favorite!

To make this you’ll need:

• cotton fabric in light blue, dark blue, light green, dark green, light yellow, dark yellow, light red, and dark red
• cotton fabric in a wood grain print
• thin batting
• fabric for binding
• ribbon or cord for hanging
• quilt square stand (optional)
