Balenciaga SS collection 2013 was so full of beautiful monotones, cropped silhouettes, exaggerated ruffles and dip hemmed skirts, not to mention the stacked gold rings.
Follow this ruffle skirt pattern and try your hand at the monotone ruffled hem skirts, reworking a simple black skirt you are not a fan of anymore by adding a black and white ruffled asymmetric hem. Feel free to mix it up depending on what you like. It's as simple as that.
You need:
- A simple black skirt
- 1m (approx 1 yard) of white cotton fabric
- 1m (approx 1 yard) of black cotton fabric
- Dressmaker’s Scissors
- Black and white thread
- A Sewing machine
- Measuring tape
- Pins

I agree with Lyn. It’s too short for most adult women so please give instructions for midi and maxi length too.
This would be cute in a longer length (maxi) how hard would it be to alter the pattern to lengthen the skirt?
