Thank you for your generosity in sharing. Great idea.
What a wonderful idea! My 1st thought was
why didn’t I think of that!
Thank you. I know what I will be sewing up –right now! bye
These are darling and your mix of colors is very pretty!
I love using pattern weights, they make cutting so much easier and accurate. I make my own too – I buy lots of inexpensive, heavy fender washers at the local hardware store, hot glue and stack them 4 or 5 high. Then I use my pinking shears to cut squares out of scraps. I center my stack of washers on the square, gather it up all together at the top and tie with a skinny ribbon, or twine, or heavy duty thread. Voila! I have a useful and pretty pattern weight. It’s quick, no sew, sufficiently heavy and the flat bottoms hold fabric smoothly. Plus the little gathered part at the top is a great handle.
Love your idea. I’ve had and used weights since I was a teen and my dad had a set made for me in the shop at work. I treasure those things. But your idea sounds pretty and I like the “handle”.
I use magnets, since I want my pattern to stay with the fabric even when I pick it up and move it.
Thank you. This is also a great idea.
I like this pattern. The weights will be very handy for all kinds of projects.
