I made one of these a few years ago. Of course it looks a tad different from yours.

I made mine so the part that fits under the sewing machine can be ironed on.

Then I added apron strings so I can wear it like a tool belt – with the part that fits under the sewing machine closest to my body and the pockets facing outwards.

The ties are also handy because when I’m done sewing I flip the part that goes under the sewing mahcine over, covering the pocket openings, roll it up, and tie it closed with everything still in their pockets.

Make sure you put a non-skid shelf liner under it or your machine may go for a spin if your table top is slippery. Also, I made my front pockets out of clear vinyl so I can see what’s in them at a glance. This has been one of the most helpful things that I have made for myself, makes a nice gift, too. Happy Stitching!
